Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Morning gathering of Woodstorks for a nice and succulent breakfast in a serene setting of greens contrasting their white feathers. This a part of a series of three wood storks painting that can be ordered as a diptych or a custom order from the artist directly as a square image of all 6 birds.
Laurie Snow Hein has been painting all her life. Like many young artists, she was doubtful that she could make a career of her passion. Laurie's parents had convinced her that it was impossible to make a living as an artist. It was in her DNA...both parents, a grandmother and a brother were artistic. At age 12, Laurie started studying with Graham Ingels, a retired illustrator and portrait painter in Lantana, Florida. In her senior year of high school, Mr. Ennis, her art teacher, encouraged Laurie to apply for art scholarships. She received a full scholarship from Columbus College of Art & Design. After a year of college and winning a scholarship for her second year, Laurie married and began combining art with being a wife and busy...
